Lance Armstrong, arrogant and unaware, did little to repair his image in mea culpa with Oprah

Across 90 minutes with Oprah Winfrey, Lance Armstrong did more than admit he cheated to win his seven Tour de France titles. He revealed a measure of the man that he is and this much is certain: If you never met this jerk, well, count your blessings.

Defiant, distant, difficult.

Arrogant, unaware, flippant.

OtterBox Commuter Series Hybrid Case…

Have you shopped around for a case to protect your new Samsung Galaxy III? The Otterbox cases for Samsung Galaxy S phones are strong and protective covers known as one of the best cases around.

Otterbox cases comes in 2 series: Defender and Commuter so you have to decide between two of them. Each one has some pluses and minuses. The common complaint about the Commuter series is that the back is too slick and any time you toss is on something it slides right off. On the other hand the reviews about the Defender series claim that it is too bulky. It’s true that it adds a little thickness to the phone but really not all that much considering how well it insulates the phone against accidental drops and damages.

Katie Beers, victim of notorious 1993 kidnapping, says it saved her from life of abuse

OLD WESTBURY, N.Y. - Being chained as a 10-year-old for more than two weeks in a coffin-size box in a suburban New York dungeon was, Katie Beers says 20 years later, "the best thing that happened to me" because it allowed her to escape a life of abuse.

On the 20th anniversary of her ordeal, Beers has co-written a book with a television reporter who covered her kidnapping. "Buried Memories: Katie Beers' Story" (Title Town Publishing) has a happy ending.

AP source: Armstrong tells Oprah he doped

AUSTIN, Texas (AP) -- Lance Armstrong confessed to Oprah Winfrey during an interview Monday that he used performance-enhancing drugs to win the Tour de France, a person familiar with the situation told The Associated Press.

The person spoke on condition of anonymity because the interview is to be broadcast Thursday on Winfrey's network.

Armstrong was stripped of all seven Tour titles last year following a voluminous U.S. Anti-Doping Agency report that portrayed him as a ruthless competitor, willing to go to any lengths to win the prestigious race.

13 Money Lies You Should Stop Telling Yourself by Age 30

I'm not quite 30 yet, but I'm more than familiar with the notion that this age is the new benchmark for people to get their lives together.

There are books, blogs and Twitter accounts dedicated solely to helping people cross that line in the best shape for their future. They do this by telling you to get rid of debt, stop shopping so much, start a 401(k) and brace yourself for wrinkles.

But in my opinion, it takes a lot more than a healthy bank account and nice skin to live a full and happy life, whether you're 29 or 59. Most of us know how to succeed, we just happen to let ourselves –– and a few convenient lies –– get in the way.

Can a $1 Trillion Coin End Debt Ceiling Crisis?

What if the threat of a voluntary default by the United States could be erased by simply turning one tiny scrap of platinum into a coin?

That's right. No debt ceiling problem. No bickering in Congress. No market jitters. The only thing needed is for the Treasury Department to mint a platinum coin with a face value of $1 trillion.

Of course, this is not going to happen. Creating money out of thin air is hardly a solution. It could lead to even more concerns from those worried about inflation. Critics of the Federal Reserve's monetary easing programs would likely be apoplectic if the Treasury Department trumped Ben Bernanke's "helicopter drop" by minting a trillion more new dollars.
